2. 1926

3. 1910, 1926, 1936 If the order is mixed up, ask your child to read the line from left to right and find the earliest year first.

4. before If they pick after, point to 1910 on the line. Ask if it comes before 1926.

D

1. No If they say yes, ask who was king in 1910, before Elizabeth was born. Point to George V on the line and say he was already king.

Words to use

Say“Which line mark came first? How do you know?”
Instead of“Just tell them the answer, or say she was royal from birth.”

After the sheet

Lay a long strip of paper on the table as a timeline. Mark 'Born' and 'Today' at the ends, then put three family photos in order on it, oldest first.

Tick what your child got right in StudyDen. Anything missed comes back in a later Look back box, so there's no need to redo the sheet.
