Year 2 is for children aged 6 to 7 in England and Wales, and it is part of Key Stage 1. Below is every subject a Year 2 child covers on this plan, with the real lesson list for each one: 736 lessons across 12 subjects, sequenced over a 36 week year.

If you home educate, none of this is compulsory. Parents in England have to provide a suitable full-time education and are free to decide what that contains. The list is here because “what would they be doing at school this year” is the question almost everybody starts with, and it is oddly hard to find a straight answer to.
