Most of it is written by Oak National Academy, the government-funded curriculum body, and credited on every slide. Oak is free to anyone and always will be. If you are not sure which year your child is in, start with the year groups by age.
How the primary years fit together
Primary school in England and Wales runs from Reception to Year 6. Years 1 and 2 are Key Stage 1, Years 3 to 6 are Key Stage 2, and a child moves up a year every September. The year a child is in is decided by their age on 31 August, so a child who is 7 on 31 August starts Year 3 that September.
Eleven subjects run from Year 1. Computing and French start in Year 3, and critical thinking in Year 2, which is why the earlier years list fewer than the later ones. Music is the one national curriculum subject this plan does not carry, and saying so plainly is worth more than a claim of full coverage.
If you home educate, none of it is compulsory. Parents in England must provide a suitable full-time education and are free to decide what that contains, including working at a different year group in every subject. The sequence is here because it is a sequence somebody has already thought about, not because anybody has to follow it.
