E

1. Look for: A small helpful action for a group the child belongs to (such as tidying, picking up litter or helping someone) with a reason why it helps others.

Words to use

Say“What is one small thing a child can do to help a school? Why does it help?”
Instead of“Only the School Council can help the school, so it is not for you.”

Tidy one shared space at home, such as the bookshelf or the kitchen table. Ask your child what made it better for everyone.
