Answers, and what a wrong one tells you

A

1. Al-Wadud → The Loving One; Al-Hafiz → The Protector; Al-Razzaq → The Provider your child may have matched by the first sound. Ask: what does a protector do? Then match Al-Hafiz to that meaning.

2. Al-Khaliq your child may have picked a name that sounds kind. Ask: which name is about making things from nothing?

3. Shows tawakkul: Trusting Allah when the way seems closed, Asking Allah for help and keeping going · Does not show tawakkul: Giving up hope at once, Refusing to try because it is scary your child may have mixed up the columns. Ask: does the action show hope in Allah, or has the person given up?

B

1. Musa (AS) struck the sea with his staff your child may have picked the answer that sounds like a plan. Ask: what did Allah command Musa (AS) to do at the sea?

C

1. Tawakkul → Trusting Allah completely; Fir'awn → The cruel ruler of Egypt; Bani Isra'il → The Children of Israel; Ashura → The 10th of Muharram your child may have swapped Fir'awn and Bani Isra'il. Ask which one was the ruler, and which one was the people he was cruel to.

2. Day of Ashura your child may have picked a day they know well. Remind them that Ashura falls on the 10th of Muharram, which begins the Islamic year.

3. Shows tawakkul: Trusting Allah when the way seems closed, Asking Allah for help and keeping going · Does not show tawakkul: Giving up hope at once, Panicking and stopping your child may have put trust in the wrong column. Ask: is the person hoping in Allah, or has the person given up?

4. 1 Musa reaches the sea with Bani Isra'il · 2 Musa strikes the sea with his staff · 3 The sea splits into dry paths · 4 Bani Isra'il cross safely · 5 The sea closes over Fir'awn's army your child may have put the drowning first. Ask: what had to happen before the people could cross?

D

1. Allah, when Musa struck the sea as commanded your child thinks Musa's own strength did it. Ask: who gave Musa the staff and the command to strike the sea?

E

1. Look for: A sentence that says tawakkul means trusting Allah completely, plus one example from the child's own life.

Words to use

Say“Tell me what Musa (AS) felt when the sea was in front of him. What did he do?”
Instead of“Just tell them the answer, or say the story is only about a big miracle.”

After the sheet

At dinner, use a tray as the sea and two cups as walls. Ask each person to retell the crossing in three moments, moving the cups as they talk.

Tick what your child got right in StudyDen. Anything missed comes back in a later Look back box, so there's no need to redo the sheet.
