Answers, and what a wrong one tells you

A

1. Jibreel (AS) your child chose a prophet instead of the angel. Ask: who carried the words from Allah? Then point to the middle of the chain.

2. Al-Alim your child may have chosen Al-Basir, which means Allah sees everything. Ask your child to say the meaning of knowing and of seeing, then match them.

3. ayah your child chose surah. A surah is a whole chapter made of many ayat. Point to the chain: one surah holds many ayat.

B

1. Sujood your child chose Tashahhud. Tashahhud is the last position. Point to Ruku on the chain and move one step.

C

1. Qiyam

2. Ruku your child chose Sujood. Sujood is the forehead on the ground. Ask your child to bend at the waist with a flat back, then touch the floor with the forehead.

3. Sujood your child chose Ruku. Ruku is the bow with a flat back, and the forehead stays up. Sujood goes all the way down.

4. Tashahhud

D

1. Ruku your child chose Sujood because Ali said so. Ask: where does the forehead go in Sujood? Then point to Ruku on the chain.

E

1. Look for: A child explains that putting the forehead on the ground shows humility or respect before Allah.

Words to use

Say“Show me each move with your body. Which one comes first, and what comes after it?”
Instead of“Tell them the names and then say the answers for them.”

After the sheet

Stand up tall, bow with a flat back, put your forehead on the floor, then sit. Say each name as you move, in the same order as Salah.

Tick what your child got right in StudyDen. Anything missed comes back in a later Look back box, so there's no need to redo the sheet.
