Answers, and what a wrong one tells you

A

1. Sidq → complete truthfulness; Amanah → trustworthiness; Tabligh → passing on the whole message; Fatanah → wisdom and insight; Ismah → protection from major sin If your child joins Tabligh to protection from sin, they have mixed up two qualities. Read each meaning aloud and ask which one is about passing on the message.

2. Madyan If your child circles 'Ad, they have mixed up Shu'ayb (as) with Hud (as), who was sent to 'Ad. Ask which prophet warned his people about cheating in trade.

3. 1 Hud (as) called the people of 'Ad to worship Allah · 2 The people of 'Ad refused his call · 3 The people of 'Ad were destroyed If your child puts the destruction first, ask what Hud (as) did before anything happened to the people.

B

1. 1 Salih (as) called his people to worship Allah · 2 The she-camel was given as a sign · 3 They harmed the she-camel If your child puts the harm first, remind them that the she-camel was a sign given by Allah before the harm happened.

C

1. Hud (as) → 'Ad; Salih (as) → Thamud; Shu'ayb (as) → Madyan If your child joins Salih (as) to 'Ad, ask which prophet is linked to the she-camel. That is Salih (as), and the nation is Thamud.

2. Al-Adalah → justice; Akhirah → life after death; Tabligh → passing on the message If your child joins Akhirah to justice, ask what happens after this world ends. That is the Akhirah.

3. Thamud If your child circles Madyan, they have mixed up Shu'ayb (as) with Salih (as). Ask whose she-camel the story is about.

4. Look for: A sentence saying honest weights give each person what they are owed, so people are treated fairly, which is justice. If your child only writes that cheating is bad, ask what the honest trader gives the buyer. The answer is what is owed.

D

1. Salih (as) and Thamud Lou has mixed up Shu'ayb (as) with Salih (as). Ask your child which prophet was sent to the people of Thamud.

E

1. Look for: Two sentences linking one of Al-Hujurat, Al-Asr or Al-Waqiah to the Akhirah, such as choices now and the Day of Judgement.

Words to use

Say“Tell me one prophet and the nation they were sent to. What did you remember most easily?”
Instead of“Well done, that's all right. Never mind, we'll look it up in the book.”

After the sheet

At the dinner table, ask your child to tell the story of Hud (as) in three short sentences, then swap and let them ask you one question.

Tick what your child got right in StudyDen. Anything missed comes back in a later Look back box, so there's no need to redo the sheet.
