Answers, and what a wrong one tells you

A

1. main activity If they circle warm up, point to the chain. Warm up is already first, so the gap is the middle part.

2. Look for: Names a gentle warm-up move such as marching, jogging on the spot or arm circles. If they name a hard move like sprinting, ask: should a warm up start gentle or hard?

3. north If they circle east, ask them to point to the letter that is missing on the compass.

B

1. right foot If they circle left foot, that is the same side as the throwing hand. Ask: which foot is opposite to Ola's throwing hand?

C

1. Look at the target If they circle throw as hard as you can, they have the power mistake. Ask: which is easier to control, a gentle throw or a hard one?

2. 1 Look at the target · 2 Step with the opposite foot · 3 Swing the arm through · 4 Let go of the ball low If the ball is let go first, the order is reversed. Ask the child to say the steps aloud: look, step, swing, let go.

3. Step → Step forward with the foot opposite your throwing hand; Grip → Hold the ball loosely; Aim → Keep your eyes on the target; Release → Let your arm swing through

4. Look for: Three numbers of catches in a row, one for each try, written in the tally.

D

1. Look for: Says Kit is wrong: hard throws are harder to control; accuracy comes from careful throwing and focus on the target. If they agree with Kit, ask which is easier to control: a gentle throw or a hard one? Then ask what the eyes should be on.

E

1. Look for: Says the body turns or twists across, so the arm is pulled off line and the ball goes off target.

Words to use

Say“Which foot is on the opposite side to the hand that throws? Let's try it slowly and watch the ball.”
Instead of“Throw harder, you will hit it.”
