Answers, and what a wrong one tells you

A

1. l If they say j, that comes before k. Say the letters in order from a to z, then point to the letter after k.

2. b

3. O If they say L, point to the straight lines of L. Ask them to trace the round edge of the circle with a finger.

B

1. against the clock If they say clockwise, they have followed the hands of the clock. Ask them to trace the curl backwards round the clock face.

2. Look for: A round circle written starting at the top, curling against the clock and closed back at the top.

C

1. against the clock If they say clockwise, they have followed the clock hands. Ask them to trace G from the top, the other way round.

2. Q If they say G, G has a line across the middle, not a tail. Point to the small tail at the bottom right of Q.

3. G If they say O, O has no line across the middle. Ask them to draw a short line across the middle of C and see which letter it makes.

4. I

D

1. against the clock If they say clockwise, they have copied Kit. Ask them to trace the C backwards round the clock face, against the hands.
